Repairing instead of resigning
Our everyday objects are being produced more and more cheaply, are becoming increasingly difficult to repair and are being disposed of more and more quickly. 80 % do not repair because repairs are too expensive.58 % of people do not repair because it is too complicated or impractical. This shows that there is not a lack of willingness - but a lack of accessible, local infrastructure.
At the same time, there is a lack of places where people know each other, help each other and share responsibility. Neighborliness often only takes place in the stairwell. If at all.
Our idea
This is exactly where the Kreisler comes in - in everyday life. We create accessible places where repairing is normal again, help is a matter of course and participating is easier than throwing away. This is not about renunciation or morality, but about opportunities and a new freedom in dealing with resources.
How it works
The Kreisler lives from the neighborhood. As a community-based project, everyone contributes according to their own abilities. In this way, the Kreisler remains independent, stable and open to all, no matter how full your wallet is.
You come along, have something repaired, help out, learn something new or take on a shift in the store. Some share knowledge, others time - everything counts. The Kreisler works collectively: anyone who uses it is part of it.
